St. Cloud Area Shrine Club
St. Cloud Area Shrine Club
The enthusiasm of four Osman Shrine Nobles in St. Cloud led to the formation of the St. Cloud Area Shrine Club in 1947.
After nine years of fun and fellowship, the Club sought to more actively support Shriners Hospitals for Children. In 1956, the St. Cloud Area Shrine Club and the Osman Shrine Go-Kart Patrol Unit featured a Shrine Circus in St. Cloud.
The Creed of the St. Cloud Area Shrine Club is: he achieves success who lives well, laughs often and loves much; who gains the respect of children who fill our niche; who accomplishes his task; who leaves this world better than he found it, whether by an improved flower, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul; who never lacks appreciation of earth’s beauty or fails to express it; who always sees the best and gives the best he has; whose life is an inspiration; whose memory is a benediction.

The Club goal is to contribute to all deserving charities without question, but especially to the treatment and welfare of any child under 18 years of age, regardless of race or creed, for orthopedic and burns treatment through the humanitarian services of the Shriners Hospitals for Children. In work and in fun, Club members pause along the way to help a handicapped child through assessing each member a few dollars and through group fund raising efforts. These volunteer commitments are developed to unselfish giving.
