Pipe Band

The Osman Shrine Pipe Band held its first meeting on September 18, 1997. Some members had been working with Zuhrah Shrine’s Pipe Band through the summer of 1997. The Pipe Band is the next generation of Shrine Units. All bagpipes must be purchased and maintained by the individual embers. Most uniform components are also a personal commitment. The “pipes” were a dream of Past Potentate Robert Ferguson during his term on the Divan, and he chartered the Band in 1997 during his year as Potentate. The Band is honored to have him as its first Honorary Member and to have his family’s tartan as the Band’s official kilt.
